Das Problem war nicht es zu finden, da\u00df Problem hie\u00df Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck. Das Motelzimmer war ja ganz ok, aber so dunkel wie die Mammoth Cave. Da wollte ich nicht fr\u00fchst\u00fccken. Also sind wir zum nahen community park und haben dort gefr\u00fchst\u00fcckt. Die h\u00e4tten sogar Griller gehabt, aber das war dann doch \u00fcbertrieben. Beim Auspacken aus dem Auto mu\u00dfte Astrid feststellen, da\u00df lucky charms nur so hei\u00dfen, aber nicht automatisch Gl\u00fcck bringen. Schon die zweite Packung fiel aus dem Auto und verteilte sich zu einem Gro\u00dfteil unter dem Auto\u2026<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1PO390BhdRUJ4Aq0mYslj1WxtuZxRq732.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Der E\u00dfplatz war \u00fcberdacht und eigentlich war es fast wie Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck am Campingplatz.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1BRV6f0xW2c85sS-E34mgMWkilA5M3Zmm.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Nur das Abwaschen der Sch\u00fcssel am Trinkbrunnen war neu. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" alt=\"Smile\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/1DGRaUS7MZ06oMD1hSuyc_C76FlNY-YxC.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1eTz3lS69aQcqctF78U9kat71QCkaliuB.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"667\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Beim Museum fanden wir ein Wort, das auch meine Nativespeakering zum Gr\u00fcbeln brachte: <em>Parking for museum patrons only!!!<\/em> Zum Gl\u00fcck gab es vereinzelt auch Hinweise mit <em>parking for visitors only.<\/em> Also haben wir uns getraut dort gratis stehen zu bleiben.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Das Museum selbst ist nicht gro\u00df, aber sehr nett gemacht. Gleich am Eingang eine Modelleisenbahn, wo auch ganz sicher die erwachsenen Erbauer ihren Spa\u00df hatten.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1l6O10YV8iXS90WDx_7fNXUlof07u8AAY.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Weiter ging es in die Halle der historischen Autos. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16fTma76IR7IKTlKra7LhT73-NR_Yoc0p.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1Z0NtjCvk-YaelQm7SLjLw2PGRTgtXi8t.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"330\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Interessant ist das erste Elektroauto. Bereits 1913 wurde es gekauft und hatte den stolzen Preis von $3000. Daf\u00fcr ging es bis zu 25mi\/h schnell und hatte eine Reichweite von 75mi.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1r_-MQMK1MtU5mbcTVjtdjuCwo8-iFfM7.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Auch spannend der sehr flie\u00dfende \u00dcbergang von Kutsche zu Auto. Alle diese Modelle sind Autos mit Benzinmotor, auch wenn man das nicht gleich so sieht. Das rechte hat immerhin schon 4PS.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1DarbGEp_CQM2crUzTjpfHFZPFASZNp6o.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In der Freilufthalle stehen Z\u00fcge und dazwischen diverse Gro\u00dfautos. Da habe ich bemerkt, da\u00df meine neue Sony RX10 mir alle Freiheiten l\u00e4\u00dft. Auch seltsame. In einer kleinen Ecke steht (in der Sonne kaum zu lesen) no card. Das hei\u00dft, man kann nat\u00fcrlich ohne Probleme Fotos in allen Modis schie\u00dfen, sie speichert halt nur nicht. Ok, also schnell die Speicherkarte aus dem Auto aus dem Notebook geholt und alle Fotos wiederholt. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Jedenfalls, auch die Kamera sieht, da\u00df Astrid hot ist. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile\" alt=\"Winking smile\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/1nGwpgcgDtPuFLsEAaiFtZMoFfdah4P66.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1r0XTxJrEqe0OarYKY7MWziEm4dGAo-tp.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Z\u00fcge sind wie immer riesig im Vergleich zu Europa, egal ob Dampf- oder Dieselbetrieben. Strom ist ja sehr selten.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1581enlCp41ZOkLtzpm5CrAF73Hii5Srp.jpg\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1VOJ6p4bB4ke5ifb03yTdaPV0h_x7WUYo.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Flugzeugabteilung ist noch kleiner und eigentlich h\u00e4ngt da nur eine Minimaschine an der Decke. Nett ist aber auf jeden Fall die Demonstration des Auftriebes mit einem Blaserohr und diversen B\u00e4llen. Sieht man, da\u00df Astrid Experimente mit Kindern macht?!?<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1O7D6KELeH8hKDFOMSxpKW9mNgyecBCiA.jpg\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Rakete steht nur vor dem Museum und ist gut von der Stra\u00dfe zu sehen, hin kommt man nicht. Daf\u00fcr sieht man die Modelleisenbahn gut von oben!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16tF6ABA8ngcUTnYfukvJ4_EgcZUH5i8-.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Downtown Roanoke ist eh lieb, Schulen, ein Convention Center und ein Berg, der ganz der Kirche geh\u00f6rt. Da ist auch die Kirche selbst \u00fcberraschend imposant.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1Fan3QWVcF1fk3lS8dRn7bh-S_hoWeytg.jpg\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Danach ging es auf die Interstate und ab in den S\u00fcd-Westen. Da wir wegen Labour-Day 3 N\u00e4chte in Motels ausweichen mu\u00dften, war das Problem, was wir mit unserem Grillfleisch machen sollten. Im Motel gab es keine Griller. Daher haben wir einfach am Nachmittag auf einer Rest Area den Griller ausgepackt und dort das rohe Fleisch gegart.
