Chipmunks oder Erdh\u00f6rnchen w\u00e4ren ja fad und normal. Nein, aus dem Wald sah uns diese nette Dame an (und wurde auch entsprechend f\u00fcr das Foto entlohnt):<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/78a9784c-fcba-41af-a525-bc7cb56aedd0.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Der TomTom w\u00e4re nat\u00fcrlich wieder \u00fcber einen Freeway gefahren, aber das ist ja bekanntlich nicht spannend. Wir haben uns daher f\u00fcr die lauschige Route (siehe Karte oben) entschlossen. Und lauschig ist diese Route allemal. Und vorallem bergig. Es sind zwar nur 1000 H\u00f6henmeter, die man rauf und runterf\u00e4hrt, die sehen aber fetzig aus. Hier nur zum Vergleich das H\u00f6henprofil:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Hoehe2013050225255B625255D.png\" width=\"1024\" height=\"225\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Sehr nett ist es, da\u00df es jetzt im Fr\u00fchling wenigstens noch ein wenig gr\u00fcn ist. Wir hatten zwar wieder 93\u00b0F (also 34\u00b0C) aber es ist gr\u00fcn. Ich kann diese Strecke wirklich jedem empfehlen. Und da sind wir ins Historic Downdowntown Destrict gefahren. Das Parken ist dort im Prinzip teuer, aber wenn man etwas in den vielen Gesch\u00e4ften kauft, bekommt man Parkgutscheine. Bei uns kam so Gratisparken raus.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Cool sind f\u00fcr uns Europ\u00e4er ungew\u00f6hnliche Shops wie der Candy Heaven. Dort bekommt man Zuckerl in der Tonne. Man kann sich beliebige Mischungen selbst machen und zahlt per Pfund.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/1e638866-9384-406b-8e36-5ec9d5bddbef.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Sonst sind die H\u00e4user h\u00fcbsch hergerichtet und schauen halbwegs alt aus:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1024_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1027_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Statue des Pony Express kann man immer noch bewundern:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1028_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Besonders interessant ist das kleine aber feine Eisenbahnmuseum. Vorsicht, das hat nur bis 5 Uhr offen. Wir kamen erst um 4:30 an. Daf\u00fcr konnten wir gratis rein. Auch ok. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" alt=\"Smiley\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/wlEmoticon-smile25255B225255D.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Drinnen sieht man weniger aber daf\u00fcr sehr sch\u00f6n hergerichtete Lokomotiven:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1030_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1037_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Auch die Speise- und Schlafwagen der alten zeit machen was her:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1049_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Fetzig ist bei vielen Lokomotiven die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe. Die sehen aus, als ob sie andere Loks zum Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck gefressen haben:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSCF1058_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Drau\u00dfen kurven Kutschen rum, um das Flair der alten tage zu verst\u00e4rken.
