Wenn man auf die Satellitenkarte schaut, w\u00e4re die (gelb markierte) Stra\u00dfe auch recht wild:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/NP_Map_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"724\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Stra\u00dfe zum NP-Eingang (Hwy 50) ging quasi von der T\u00fcre des Campingplatzes weg und in k\u00fcrzester Zeit ist man schon oben am South-Rim. Hinter dem Visitor Center gibt es den ersten kurzen Wanderweg zum Abgrund:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSCF2943_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Am South-Rim kann man seine \u00fcbersch\u00fcssigen Energien abbauen, denn die Wege gehen immer ein sch\u00f6nes St\u00fcck rein (und nat\u00fcrlich auch runter). Da kann man schon auf einem Stichweg eine gute Meilen hatschen. Jede Aussicht ist es aber auch wirklich wert:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSCF2945_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSCF2949_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Von der S\u00fcdseite hat man einige sehr h\u00fcbsche Aussichten auf den tief unten dahintosenden Flu\u00df:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSCF2979_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"755\" height=\"1024\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The island habe ich auch schon gestern erw\u00e4hnt. Wenn wir VOR Sonnenuntergang den Campingplatz erreichen wollten, war Abfahrt. Also sind wir wieder raus auf die US50 und genossen den sehr h\u00fcbschen Verlauf:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050753_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"716\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Bald kamen wir zu einem Stausee, der nat\u00fcrlich eine National Recreation Area ist:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050759_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"654\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050764_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"627\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Die Stra\u00dfe folgt dem Stausee und dann einem Tal. Erst gegen Ende unseres Fahrtages mu\u00dften wir einen kleinen Pa\u00df \u00fcberwinden:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050769_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"718\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050773_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"696\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050777_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"713\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Nat\u00fcrlich kann man dort im Winter Skifahren und dementsprechend kalt war es schon im September: Die B\u00e4ume waren wenigstens gelb:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050778_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"712\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050780_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"731\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Ein gro\u00dfer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walmart<\/a> hat uns in dem Skidorf quasi angefallen, soda\u00df wir dort eine Shoppingpause einlegen mu\u00dften. Die Sonne stand schon recht tief, wie wir die letzten Meilen durch das sich langsam \u00f6ffnende Tal sich unserem Tagesziel n\u00e4hernd gefahren sind:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050784_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"700\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chbworld.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1050788_re25255B225255D.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"756\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/royalgorgebridge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal Gorge<\/a> ist der Versuch privatwirtschaftlich aus einer angeblich sch\u00f6nen Schlucht Profit zu schlagen. Dort gibt es nichts, was man sich in einem Tal nicht vorstellen k\u00f6nnte: Seilbr\u00fccke, Eisenbahn, Seilbahn, Seilfl\u00fcge, Wanderungen, \u2026. Wir haben den Nepp nicht mitgemacht und viele andere wohl auch nicht. Dort sieht es schon ziemlich leer aus, auch der Campingplatz hatte schon bessere Zeiten.
